Windrose Estates is also quiet possibly the last subdivision in the region to offer estate lots of 1 and 2 acres in size.

Why? Changes to legislation now require that developers of residential building lots provide municipal sewers. This represents a significant cost to developers where sewers do not already exist. Windrose is one of the last subdivisions in the region approved to permit septic beds.



Centrally located and within minutes of Downtown Collingwood. A bounty of shops, five grocery stores and numerous trendy restaurants are a short trip away. Schools, entertainment, golf courses, hiking trails and the water front surround you.

It is important for Windrose Estates to maintain the character and integrity of the community. For that reason we do have incorporated Restrictive Covenants and Architectural Guidelines with our Agreement of Purchase & Sale document.

A sample of these would be:

  1. We do not permit R.V.’s, boats/trailers, etc. to be parked outside of garages.

  2. We do not permit aluminum siding

  3. We require homes to have a minimum of a
    3 car garage.

  4. We will not permit painting exterior areas of the home purple.
